Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 awarded “World Whisky of the Year” in the 2015 edition of Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, scoring 97.5 marks out of 100. This is the first time that a Japanese whisky has received the prestigious accolade in the Whisky Bible’s 11-year history.

This single malt whisky consists only of sherry casked malts chosen from among the malts that create the flavor of the Yamazaki brand. Jim Murray, the author of the book, hails Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 as “near indescribable genius” and praises its “nose of exquisite boldness” and finish of “light, teasing spice”.
